It has been noticed that the major retailers like Home Saaz, Myntra, Jabong, Pantaloons, Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle are adapting to unfair business practices by charging taxes on the discounted prices so arrived after earmarking for the offered discounts. Since the MRP is alwayz inclusive of taxes as per MRP rules for the packaged commodities, the discounted prices also become inclusive of Taxes in that proportion. The charging of taxes on such discounted prices is not only amounting to violation of MRP rules but also mislead the consumers as the product does not get purchase at the net discounted prices..............................................
